You're on a job. Your phone's ringing. We'll answer it.
An AI receptionist that picks up your missed calls and messages 24/7, takes the job details, texts you the lead in under a minute and books the visit into your calendar.
The demo is "Ellie", answering for Kestrelford Plumbing & Heating, a made-up firm. Talk to her in your browser, like a real customer would.
URGENT – leak through ceiling, stopcock off. Postcode, address and number confirmed. Visit offered for 8am tomorrow.
The problem
Every missed call could be a job for someone else.
When you're under a sink or up a ladder, you can't pick up. Most people with a leak or a dead boiler don't leave a voicemail. They ring the next number on Google.
They don't wait
Urgent jobs go to whoever answers first. Ringing back an hour later is often too late.
Evenings and weekends
Plenty of enquiries come in when you're off the clock. Right now they hit voicemail, or nothing.
Do the maths
Just an example: if one missed call a week would have been a £250 job, that's about £1,000 a month you never see. Put your own numbers in.
How it works
No new phone or number needed.
Calls divert when you can't answer
Keep your number. Unanswered calls go to your AI receptionist, and so do website, WhatsApp or text enquiries if you want.
It answers and takes the details
Name, number, address, postcode and what's wrong. It reads them back to check, and spots emergencies straight away.
You get the lead, already booked
Within a minute you get a text and email summary. The visit goes into your calendar, and the customer gets a confirmation.
What it handles
Set up for how trades actually work.
- Emergency triage. Sorts burst pipes, no heating and no power from routine quotes, and flags them urgent to you.
- Safety first. Tells a caller with a leak how to turn off the stopcock.
- Books visits. Offers slots from your calendar and never double-books.
- Never quotes prices unless you tell it to. It takes the details so you can quote properly.
- Calls, texts and web chat, answered 24/7, with replies in under a minute.
- Sounds local. A natural British voice, set up with your business name and your service area.
If a caller says they can smell gas, the receptionist doesn't book anything. It tells them to get out of the property, not to touch switches or flames, and to ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. Then it alerts you.
Add-ons
- Quote chasing. Polite follow-ups on quotes you've sent, so fewer go quiet.
- Google review requests. After a job, the customer gets a friendly text asking for a review.

FAQ
Questions trades ask us
Will customers know it's AI?
Yes. It tells callers at the start that it's an AI assistant answering for your business. People mostly just want the problem sorted, and being upfront builds trust.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. You keep your number and set your phone to divert unanswered or busy calls. We'll help you set it up.
Are calls recorded? What about consent?
Calls can be recorded and transcribed so you get an accurate summary. The receptionist tells callers at the start that the call may be recorded. You can turn recording off if you'd rather not.
Is it GDPR compliant?
We built it with UK GDPR in mind. For your callers' data, you're the controller and Cloudflux acts as your processor. We provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), store data in the UK or EU where possible, keep only what's needed, and delete it on a set schedule. See our privacy notice.
Where is the data stored?
In the UK or EU where possible. Some suppliers, like the voice and telephony providers, may process data elsewhere under UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement. These are listed in the DPA.
What if it gets something wrong?
You get a summary of every conversation, so nothing slips through. During the trial we review calls with you every week and adjust what it says.
What happens with a gas leak or a real emergency?
For a gas smell it never books a visit. It gives the standard safety advice and directs the caller to the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. For other urgent jobs it gives simple safety steps and flags the lead to you straight away.
Can I cancel?
Yes, with 30 days' notice, and there's no long contract. The free trial has no commitment at all.
